1) Photography, video recording, and live-streaming by staff may occur at Temple Sinai services and events. These images and recordings may be displayed on Temple Sinai’s website, social media platforms, or used in our promotional materials. No images or recordings will be sold; our goal is simply to communicate and celebrate the joy of synagogue life with the wider community. To ensure the privacy of individuals and especially children, Temple Sinai will never print the names of specific participants without written approval from the individual or parent/legal guardian. By attending events at Temple Sinai, you consent to the use of your image or voice for the temple’s promotional purposes.
If you are a parent or legal guardian wanting an exception to the above policy for your child, please email us at . We will make a reasonable effort to screen all photographs prior to publication to ensure the child’s image is not included. However, such an exception cannot apply to our live-streamed/video recorded events due to the nature of the medium.
2) During worship services, photography and video recording is not permitted by members or guests, but may take place before or after a service.
3) For a professional hired to record a bar/bat mitzvah ceremony, the camera must film through the opening in the accordion doors at the back of the sanctuary.
