The following is additional information regarding the Robert Seiden School of Jewish Studies. Click on each document to read, save, or print your own copies of these.
If you're considering enrolling your child(ren), or just starting the process of researching supplemental Jewish Education, the links below will give you a great overview of our the education program here at Temple Sinai of Glendale.
No student will be admitted without completed Registration Forms. Please note: If these forms are NOT received PRIOR to the first day of school, YOUR CHILD(REN) WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE CLASS FOR THE FIRST SESSION ONLY, but will not be able to return on Wednesday or the next Sunday unless you complete the registration process on the first day of school.
Enrollment – Membership Policy
It is the general policy of Temple Sinai that students may attend our school only if their families are members of the congregation. The only exceptions are “Mommy, Daddy & Me” and Adult Education programs which are open to non-members.
If Membership Dues are a financial issue, we encourage you to look in to the Temple’s Dues Adjustment process. Don’t let financial considerations deprive your children of Jewish education.
Scholarships and Camperships
Scholarship aid is available in cases of financial need to cover all or part of Temple SInai’s tuition fees. This is now handled through the dues adjustment committee of the Temple Sinai Board so that your total financial obligations to Temple Sinai – dues and all applicable school fees – are considered together in determining a workable arrangement.
In addition, high school students whose families are members of Temple Sinai may apply for scholarship funds for study in Israel. Contact the Director of Education to apply for Israel scholarships. Sisterhood (Women of Reform Judaism) provides camperships to help students attend Jewish summer camps. Contact Sisterhood to learn how to apply for these awards.
A note about tuition: The cost of things has increased and we have had to raise our tuition fees as wel. If tuition payment is a challenge for any Temple member, a request for adjustment should be made in writing to the Dues Adjustment Committee though the completion of a "Dues Adjustment Request Form." If you already have completed a dues adjustment process, that arrangement should include your family's school fees.
