10:30  Intermediate Hebrew (for those who already know the alef-bet) will be taught by Nurith Brier, an experienced teacher and native Hebrew speaker, using Hebrew: A Language Course, Level 1 by Bergman (both books published by Behrman House).  You must contact Nurith Brier to indicate your interest in Intermediate Hebrew at  nurithb@yahoo.com  626-794-4060 

11:30  Torah Study  Taught this year by a rotating team of clergy and teachers, we will introduce the portion and spend the hour discussing the spiritual teachings, history, etymology, cultural and gender issues, explore answers to all questions and generally create an extemporaneous atmosphere with a respectful Jewish perspective. Classes will meet 11:30 am - 12:30 pm beginning October 4, 2009. There is no fee, but donations are welcome.  To sign up, call the temple office 818.246.8101 or drop in.

Fees:  Beginning Hebrew $48 per eight-week session  Intermediate Hebrew $96 per eight-week session.   Torah Study, no fee but donations welcome.
